Hello folks,
Just read this after spending a whole day figuring this stuff out on my own (I just reinvented the wheel =D ) I have a few things to point out:
1) Delphi XE2 has support for x64 platforms
2) Logonui is only available on XP (not sure on Win 2000 workstation); Windows 2003 Doesn’t have the nice user select interface
3) For Windows 2003, 2000 or XP without Welcome screen, you’ll most like find the following link usefull: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa380545(v=vs.85).aspx

Hi,

no you can’t use the Winlogon DLL on a 64bit Windows System because Delphi only compiles 32Bit DLL files. You either have to use FreePascal or wait for next Delphi with 64bit support. But I cannot promise that the code will work there. I rather doubt it.
Of course and FYI, starting with Windows Vista, this way is no longer supported.

Excellent article, just a small question – do you know if this works if compiled and registered on x64 version of Server 2003?

I am testing thi8s now but wondered whether anyone had tried this, specifically whether I should be aiming to put my notification DLL in \System32 or \SysWOW64.

not exactly about you but is it possible to have a logon procedure ? i mean i have a session on a client and i want my exe can log on to a remote server (ws2003) without any human intervention ..

Hello.
I am using Winlogon notifications witn a dll inserted, like the example above, but the problem is that Windows 2000 does not work for me. Does anyone know why this happens?. The same dll and the notification in Windows XP work correctly but this is useless on Windows 2000.

Well, Winlogon Notification is not possible in Vista.
But there should be an example how to do it in Vista. Unfortunately, we don’t have time to create an article from it.
The source resides in the subversion jwapi\trunk\Examples\SENS\WinLogonLogo
